My thoughts on shawls:
When you are young and cute, a shawl looks quirky and cute on you.
When you are ... ahem ... mature, you are fighting that granny look.
Who cares when the shawl is this gorgeous?

Gorgeous, gorgeous!!! I wondered too about the wearing of shawls for the young and well you know! Why does she look cute and I look just like I'm trying to keep warm and so granny-like!
I must say though I knit a shawl to wear to my son's wedding and got lots of compliments. They were nice enough to keep any age thing to themselves!
A shawl can't be REALLY gorgeous unless the wearer is...:) and this is never a matter of age!
I bet you look just gorgeous wearing it!
